We are the friends and family of Christopher (James) and Sharon Stewart and are asking for your support on their behalf. On Saturday, July 9th Chris was at home in a Zoom meeting, called out for Sharon and collapsed. His heart had stopped. Emergency services came and resuscitated him but not before he had been without oxygen for several minutes. He was put on a ventilator being unable to breathe on his own. We have now learned that he has suffered a brain stem injury due to a suspected brain bleed and his ability to physically respond is coming and going. While he has made incredible strides in his recovery, he is still on a knife's edge. He and Sharon are surrounded by people that love them. The Lord is doing incredible work in Chris and in our hearts as well. Even the neurologist has said that he is "defying all the odds."

While Chris has survived and is slowly healing, it is uncertain what his and Sharon's life together will look like in the future. Chris' physical ability is unknown right now. As a survivor of a brain stem injury, his physical symptoms may not be clear for months to come. Until then, we do know that we can help them financially. There will be medical bills as well as missed work time and potentially many more medical needs in the future. This is why we are asking for your donations.
