Let's help the Hurtubise Family

I am heartbroken to learn the news of one of Orillias finest families going through such an awful situation. It's one thing to deal with grief from such a tremendous loss recently, but to be troubled with debt due to a Life Insurance mix up is devastating.

If you had the pleasure of knowing Pat Hurtubise, you would know that she was incredibly smart, witty, always prepared and never skipped a beat. For the family to learn that her Manulife Insurance was only a TERM policy until the age of 65, not WHOLE was a complete shock. This meaning that every dollar paid into what should have been lifetime (not 65) is gone.

Her husband, retired Constable OPP Neil Hurtubise is thankfully still with us, and has been burdened at 86 years old to pay for funeral expenses. Knowing him, you would understand his pride and not want to accept any help. It has ALWAYS been him helping everybody else - even after he was shot on duty.

So, Orillia. Let's come together and give back to such an amazing family and help alleviate some of their financial stress right now. It's the least we can do.

Any amount is greatly appreciated, and will be given to Pat's husband. I hope that this raises awareness to the crooked ways of how these policies are set up, and that you confirm your OWN life insurance policies to avoid this disaster.
