Let’s Help the Elliott’s with Ace

Donation protected
If you know Rachel and Josh Elliott, you know that they recently had a beautiful baby girl, named Tatum and they have 2 French Bulldogs, Bo and Ace. For everyone who doesn’t know them… let me just tell you, They are amazing humans who will be the first to lend a hand and last to ask for help. So here I am asking for help from our community for them!

Ace has been their pride and joy since the day they brought him home. He runs the show and is of course as stubborn as they come.

In September Ace started bleeding from his gums. They took him in to one of the only vets able to see him and were told that he must have cut his gums while playing with a toy.

On November 26th they came home and noticed blood in his urine. By 6am the following day he was bleeding solid blood. They rushed him into Truvet in Petaluma where he was hospitalized for a week. In that week he received around the clock care, different medications, daily blood tests and a blood transfusion.

He was diagnosed with Canine immune-mediated thrombocytopenia (ITP) which is a disease in which the body’s immune system attacks and destroys its platelets. He has been fighting for his life as he went from ZERO platelets to a stable amount. He has been nothing but a trooper with taking multiple medications throughout the day and night and also having weekly to bi weekly check ups and blood work.

Just as things started to seem better… on January 19th, Rachel noticed a little bruising on his belly. She took him back in to Truvet where he is now being hospitalized again. His platelets are back down to zero.

If we could come together as a community and help this family ease the financial burden of some of Aces medical bills, that would be a blessing to not only Ace but to his brother Bo, who has no idea what life is without him, to his parents who are doing everything they can to keep him alive and to his sister who hasn’t had the chance to make enough memories with him!
