Help for the Camp Fire westies
Donation protected
A huge fire in Northern CA has wiped out Paradise, a town that many of our Chico dancers have ties to. Some dancers and/or their immediate families have lost everything.
Let's help them get through these early days - they need to buy everything again, from toiletries to clothes to necessary prescriptions. The fire moved insanely fast.
Right now, we have confirmation that the John Piper's and Jesse Divine's families have been affected, but the list continues to grow. (We'll update as we get more information.)
For more information on the Camp Fire, you can get the highlights from this Sacramento Bee article: https://www.sacbee.com/news/state/california/fires/article221407060.html
The plan is that Tami Krok will coordinate distribution of funds. If you're more comfortable helping people directly, you can also contact Tami ([email redacted]) about what the needs are. She'll be organizing a gift card drive at the Capital Swing Dancers' dance in a week, too.
