Let’s help Tawnie, Justin and baby Haidyn

On October 10, 2021 Justin and Tawnie were surprised with the early arrival of their “warrior princess”, Haidyn Jo. She was delivered at 25 weeks by emergency C-section, and within hours flown to a level 3 NICU where she can get the specialized care she needs. Haidyn wasn’t due until January 24, 2022. It’s very likely she will remain in the NICU for 3 to 4 months. Currently she weighs 1 lbs. 9 oz., but has proven to be a fighter; hence the nickname “Warrior Princess”. She has endured much for a little one, but shows signs of progress each day. They are currently weaning her off respiratory support, and she is taking 10 mL (about 2 teaspoons) of milk at each 3 hour feeding.

Tawnie and Justin will be traveling back-and-forth to spend as much time as they can with their sweet Haidyn. This will require both of them to take time off work. Which brings an additional financial burden to the expenses they have already incurred with emergency surgery, a life flight to the NICU, and the specialized care that is required for Haidyn.
