My name is Tanya Patton. I have been friends with Denise Johnson and her daughter Kayla for several years. Denise suddenly suffered cardiac arrest, and thank God above, her daughter Kayla, who is an RN, was by her side and immediately took proper steps to save her sweet mom! Denise has been in the hospital for several weeks, fighting to recover from this incident! Kayla, of course, has been by her mom’s side! As we all know, though, it just being them two, sadly, the bills do not stop! Kayla has just had to take a travel nurse position out of state for 6 weeks to keep the bills paid. I can’t imagine having to leave a family member fighting for life to care for others. However, that’s the type of people they are; they’d give the shirt off their back in return for nothing! Denise has a long road ahead, needing rehab and further care after leaving the hospital.
