My name is Aleisha, and I’m starting this fundraiser for my dear friend Erin, who is bravely facing cancer for the fourth time. Erin is one of the strongest and most caring people I know, but right now she and her family are facing an incredibly difficult time. As she focuses on treatment and fighting this disease once again, she has unfortunately run out of leave at work, meaning the financial pressure is growing at the same time she needs to focus on her health. Her husband also needs to take time away from work to care for Erin and their children during this challenging period. I’m hoping we can come together to ease some of the financial burden so Erin can focus on what truly matters — healing and spending precious time with her family.

Erin’s story:

Erin is only 48 years young!

Since 2015 Erin has faced so many different battles. Conquering all of them. And we want and need the same outcome this time!

2015 - melanoma removed.

2021 - stage 3 ovarian cancer - sertolli cell tumour erupted sending cancer cells through the body. Erin had to have 12 months off work after 3 surgeries and 6 rounds chemo.

2024 - melanoma resurfaced on the lungs so cancer was changed to stage 4. Erin had to have 6 months immunotherapy.

2026 - this brings us to today! Erin the past few weeks has been having seizures at work and migraines. Not being able to pinpoint what was going on, after a trip to the hospital on Monday- a tumour was found on the brain. Surgery will be on Monday with uncertainty that all can be removed. This will then be followed by targeted radiation and possibly 6 or more rounds of chemotherapy to come or immunotherapy. It remains at stage 4 cancer and will know more once they remove to test where it’s spread from and what kind of cancer we are managing. At this stage, Erin will need to have atleast 6 months off work but likely more!

please please please if you can help- no matter how big or small, please do so! Erin has reluctantly approved for me to do this. She never is the one to ask for help, but right now she doesn’t have a choice! We are going to help her whether she likes it or not.
