Please help support the Bassett family and pray that Ensley and her Mom Lesley can come home soon. Back in December, Ensley was diagnosed with autoimmune hemolytic anemia. This is a very rare blood disorder. She was flown by helicopter to Duke, where she has been in and out of the hospital ever since by her Momma's side. Ensley has had multiple blood transfusions, steroids, IVs, countless poking and blood draws. Ensley has a twin sister along with older twin brothers back at home waiting for their return. Ensley has been in the hospital for over a week now while her Dad, Alex has been juggling the other three children at home along with work, childcare, cooking, daily life. Due to Ensleys red blood cells still continuing to drop,  she has now started a medication called Rituxin. This drug stops her body from producing white blood cells and she will be on this for four weeks. The purpose of this med is to stop her system from attacking her red blood cells. A baby (anyone really) can only be on steroids for so long. Due to her immune being so low from this new medication, Lesley will not be able to return to work for a while, as she is a school teacher. Risking germs along with COVID entering their home at this time cannot happen. Let's come together and help this amazing family as I know they really need it right now.
