Let's help Sugar get through this tough time!

My name is JD Aspesi and Danny Rapp has been my friend since 2nd grade and has been working for me for the last 6 months. I wanted to try and help him during this tough time because I know he is going to be out of work and his medical bills will be costly. All of you who are friends or know Danny "Sugar" Rapp know him as a kind soul that would give you the shirt off his back.

On Monday, January 30, 2023, Danny was rushed to the ER with pain in his leg and his leg was turning yellow. Luckily we got him to the hospital on time because he had 2 blood clots, one of them in his leg and one in his ankle. If he had waited any longer the possibility of losing his leg to amputation was a strong possibility. Luckily he got to the hospital and was treated. He had an artery inclusion in the groin which produced a clot in the ankle. The clot was treated and worked well. The inclusion was going to require surgery and the thought was he was going to be hospitalized for a week. His foot has gotten back blood circulation and his leg was feeling much better.

As of February 1, 2023, we learned that Danny is going to need to have extensive Bypass surgery down to his groin area due to an Aorta Aneurysm. Surgery has been scheduled for February 2, 2023, at 6 am.

This is going to be followed by ICU care and extensive rehabilitation. As a sure recovery for Danny and we’d like him to focus only on getting better.

Many of his friends have reached out asking to help so we’ve set up a GoFundMe to assist with rent, utilities and medical bills for the next several months.
