Hi, my name is Melissa, and I am here to raise funds for my Fiance Steven Mortimer. As many of you know, Steven has been battling Multiple Myeloma Bone cancer for the past 17 months. During this time he has not been able to work due to most of the cancer being in his hips and leg. He has been through so much ( 4 hospitalizations due to sepsis, numerous dental visits, 2 bone marrow harvestings, and 2 Bone Marrow Transplants) with more to go. I have also become his full-time caregiver. I know this past year has been challenging on so many people that turning to go fund me was a hard decision to make. Still, with the doctor's visits to the city of Chicago once a week for follow-ups and more dental work to be done, I'm asking friends and my community for help to get him through.
