Our inspiring and relentlessly hard-working friend Stacey needs our help. She has given so much to the communities she has served over decades both as a gifted musician and as a mentor to the next generation of singers.

We humbly ask for the help of her community and our extended communities. Your generous assistance will help Stacey to receive treatment for debilitating neurological conditions that have taken over her life and rendered her unable to work.

About three years ago, Stacey started feeling unwell, enduring pain, nausea, and dizziness, all of which became steadily worse over time. She reduced her teaching schedule to part-time in June and ceased teaching and performing in September once her symptoms became so bad that she struggled to get out of bed.

Over these past few years, she has also struggled to receive an accurate diagnosis for her condition, with hundreds of doctor’s appointments and multiple hospitalizations draining both her time and her finances.

Fortunately, in recent months Stacey has begun to get some answers. Last month, doctors identified a large cerebral aneurysm that they were able to repair before it ruptured. They also observed a cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak, a Chiari malformation and a tumor on her pituitary gland, all of which will likely require additional surgical interventions.

While she has a long road ahead of her, Stacey and her medical team are determined to ensure she can make a complete recovery. We need Stacey back at her full strength and capacity so that she can continue to be a force for transformative growth in the lives of all the singers she works with and continue the extensive research she has engaged in to bring new modalities of learning to our community.

Your donation will help Stacey pay her medical bills and living expenses until she can work full-time again, which we estimate will take at least a year. It will ensure that she can pay her medical bills and afford the daily expenses life brings all of us.
