Let's Help Shawna and Kenny

Hi, I am Kristi Rogers. I am here asking for help for my long time best friend Shawna Hughes Stough and her husband, Kenny. They both have some serious medical issues that have left them both debilitated. Shawna's health has not been really good since we were in high school. PCOS caused her infertility and tremendous scar tissue that eventually led up to her having to have a hysterectomy. She has had numerous surgeries to try and help remove the scar tissue from endometriosis and PCOS to the point she can not have anymore surgeries. It would be detrimental to her life, so she has been placed on pain management. She also has permanent nerve damage in her pelvic floor she receives nerve injections and nerve ablation for the pain. Shawna has also been diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitis type 2, eight years ago. Being a diabetic, this presents all kinds of issues by itself. Kenny has had a rare form of cancer fought it and beat it, then had his adrenal gland removed, has had 2 open heart surgeries, back issues, had back surgery last summer and ended up septic, had 3 surgeries in two weeks to help with the sepsis and stayed 4 more weeks in the hospital. Once released to go home, he was equipped with a wound vac that home health had to make frequent visits to clean and change wounds and equipment. Then to try and help the back pain, he is having epidural steroid shots with the next series this Thursday the 17th. Kenny is also facing a couple more surgeries, the first being the 24th of this month to correct someone's mess up, and then they will schedule surgery for his left shoulder soon after. Between the 2 of them they have had numerous hospital stays and dr visits. Kenny's cancer and heart condition is congenital and has to have PET scans yearly. But this isn't all, since Kenny has not been able to work, their main income source is nonexistent, leaving them with only Shawna's once a month disability payment. Kenny has applied for disability just to be denied. They do have a disability lawyer who is appealing his case. Even tho Shawna has disability payment coming in, it isn't enough to cover house notes, insurance, medical bills and the daily cost of living.  So, as you can see, they have been through so much and mentally unsure if they can take much more.
