I’m reaching out to ask for your help in supporting a wonderful family who recently faced an incredibly disappointing setback. They were set to go on a long-awaited family trip through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, but due to an unexpected hospital stay, they had to miss this special opportunity.

For those who may not know, Arend underwent a bone marrow transplant and stem cell infusion twice in 2023 in an effort to cure his rare blood disorder, Chronic Granulomatous Disease (CGD). Unfortunately, the treatment was not successful, and the family is now facing the reality of needing to go through another stem cell transplant — which remains the only known cure for CGD.

This trip was something they had been planning for over a year, carefully timed during a period when Arend was well enough to travel, and before entering what will likely be another eight months of intense and traumatic treatment.

For those of you who know this family, you already understand how strong, kind, and deserving they are. After everything they’ve been through — and all that lies ahead — they truly need and deserve a few days of rest, sunshine, and peace.

I’m hoping we can come together to send them somewhere warm and relaxing, where they won’t have to worry about cooking, cleaning, or appointments — just time together, making joyful memories.

Any amount helps, and all funds raised will go directly toward covering their travel, accommodations, and expenses for a few days of well-deserved happiness.
