I'm writing on behalf of Veronica Bratu, the devoted mother of Sofia, a bright and loving 16-year-old girl whose life has taken a heartbreaking turn.

Sofia has been diagnosed with acute triventricular hydrocephalus, caused by a mass in her brain that is blocking the normal flow of cerebrospinal fluid. As the pressure in her brain continues to rise, her condition is becoming more and more urgent.

Sofia’s only real chance is emergency neurosurgery at a specialized hospital in Turkey. The medical team is ready—but the cost is overwhelming for the family, and time is not on their side.
