Lets help our friend Sandrine

Dear friends,

Our friend Sandrine is going through a difficult time due to carrying the mutation of the BRCA gene. She has shared her story on social media, and some of you might be familiar with the challenges she is facing now.

This week Sandrine will go through a double mastectomy. Sandine is a single mom who adores her children with an upbeat personality. To help Sandrine through this challenging journey, I hope we can all donate something to help her while she won't be able to care for her children and pay some of the medical bills.

I am sharing part of the first post Sandrine wrote back in August, where she shares her difficult story knowing she is a BRCA 1 carrier and her decision to go forward and make sure she lives and can take care of her children!

"In 2012 I found out I am a #BRCA1 carrier. That means I have an 84% chance of developing #breastcancer and a 52% chance of developing #ovariancancer. I've navigated marriage, pregnancy, motherhood, divorce, dating, career with these odds. I am screened, poked, and prodded regularly. I have had 3 biopsies of my left breast. The most recent one was on August 10th, 2022. Last week I experienced the greatest relief of my life. Benign.I have spent thousands on medical bills this year alone. Every pain I feel from my head to my toes is like a trigger for racing thoughts of terminability. I have been playing the game of Russian Roulette w/a half loaded gun for far too long. But this was the bullet. It left the chamber the way breath left my lungs when I caught wind of the clear and present danger. As the smoke began to clear, so too did my vision. No matter whether the shot hit or missed, I don't want to play anymore."
