Sometimes, life comes at us hard, and we find ourselves needing a little help to get us through a rough spot.
My name is Stacy Griffin, and like you, I am friends with Reggie Ellis.
Recently, Reggie received a kidney transplant from an amazing friend who generously gave Reggie the gift of life. Since the transplant, Reggie has been able to leave dialysis behind, start a new career with Lincoln Public Schools and stay busy being a great father to his children.
Last week, Reggie was diagnosed with Cytomegalovirus (CMV). This virus rarely causes problems in healthy people, but for those with a weakened immune system, like Reggie has, it is cause for concern.
Reggie was admitted to UNMC for treatment and continues to be treated for the virus in the hospital.
Since Reggie is a new employee with LPS, he hasn’t yet qualified for benefits like paid sick leave that would help him with his financial responsibilities during this challenging time.
Many people have asked how they could help Reggie. The emotional burden of not making an income right now is stressful. I’m asking you to please consider making a contribution to help ease Reggie’s financial responsibilities as he continues to get better.
Reggie is a good friend, and I know that we all just want to help him get better.
Thank you for your support…and please share this GoFundMe with your friends and family.
Together we can make a difference!❤️
