Who is Rammy?
Brieannah Ramos, otherwise known as Rammy, is a competitive Overwatch streamer who makes her living on Twitch. She built her career on the back of her caring nature and passion for helping others, often taking personal time out of her day to help her viewers and friends with the problems they face. As a result she has grown a dedicated and diverse following of people who watch her on a daily basis, with a community that emphasizes acceptance and inclusivity. Anyone who has had the pleasure of knowing Rammy on a personal level will speak at length about her passion when it comes to subjects like DIY electronics and the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as her uniquely smug sense of humor and mischievous personality.
Why does she need help?
Recently, she has been struggling with mental health problems to the point that it has impacted her daily life. Between depression and anxiety, she’s left with very little energy to do the things she enjoys, including her job. Because of her need to stream in order to keep up with rent and other necessities, Brie has been experiencing an extreme amount of burnout and fatigue. This has led to a pronounced trend of continued exhaustion and a feeling of lack of a control over her life. At the rate that she’s going, many of her friends and viewers are worried about the potential outcome should she continue working herself to exhaustion while struggling with her mental health. She needs to have the ability to take a break and not worry about whether or not she’ll be able to afford food or rent, and currently she can’t do that.
What are the goals of this fundraiser?
Rammy has done a lot, and for a lot of people. From charity streams to helping her friends, she gives her all for the people she cares about. Now, the community she has helped with so much sees that she herself is struggling, and we’d like to help her. The goal of this fundraiser is to raise enough money to cover the cost of a month of rent for her, plus some extra in case she decides to seek the help of a specialist or has other more unexpected expenses. We all care deeply about her, and want to make sure she has what she needs in order to rest and recover. Whereas we can’t take away her depression or anxiety, we can make sure she can afford the tools she needs in order to get the rest she deserves. We thank anyone who donates and helps our favorite streamer get the well-deserved break she so desperately needs.
