Let’s Help Rachael Beat Breast Cancer!

Hi everyone, I am fundraising on behalf of Rachael Furbish, a 40 year old woman, daughter, caretaker and friend who was diagnosed on April 3, 2023 with a rare form of breast cancer known as Ductal carcinoma in situ. Rachael’s mother Valdine Miller wanted to start this Go fund me but I am a bit more tech savvy so I figured I could do my part and help set this up.
Due to the severity of the diagnosis, Rachael will be undergoing surgery and treatment which includes hopeful removal of the disease and a double mastectomy on June 6, 2023. As it stands the aftercare is unknown. In a 2 month span her and her family’s world was turned upside down.
Please imagine what it would be like to not only receive this diagnosis but then be told you’re undergoing a drastic surgery and how that would affect anyone physically, emotionally, mentally and financially.
Rachael works as a private home caregiver with no benefits or PTO. She will be out of work for a minimum of 3-6 months without pay. In addition she will incur unknown costs of her own need of at home care along with costs and hurtles of everyday life.
