Let's help out Emily Will's dog child, Shoka

Hi ED Friends!
Many of you know, Emily Will (my best friend, work wife and one of our favorite ED Nurses) has been hit with the most heartbreaking news a dog mom could hear. The first love of her life has been diagnosed with Lymphoma and the prognosis is not good. I'm sure you've seen Emily's posts explaining Shoka has been in and out of the animal hospital, suffered through countless labs, biopsies and one very long, devastating ICU stay.
First and foremost, I want you to know my best friend instinct said, "Emily is going to kill me if I set up a GoFundMe for Shoka," - but then my work wife intuition kicked in and said, "I don't give a shit if she's mad, Emily is one of the best humans in my life and I can do this for her".
So here we are.
I'm not going to ramble on about vet bills, gas and travel time. Or how Emily and her boyfriend Mike have missed work. This isn't about that.
I'm also not going to spew a lengthy rant about how fucking fantastic Emily is. Like how she's the one that flies out of nowhere with a bag of Levophed, when a patient's pressure is 15/3 (with a MAP of -1) while the family yells at us to do everything. Or how she's spent an hour before every shift in my car, with tears in her eyes - telling me how grateful she is that you all have reached out to her, checked on her and asked about Shoka. Or how she's always willing to dive headfirst with you, deep into the abyss of a Code Brown. Or how she truly cares and ALWAYS shows up for every human in her life, friends, family and patients included. You guys already know all that.
I just wanted to actually DO something for my best friend. Sharing this on our ED page just made sense - you know, since our little dumpster fire of an ED brought us together in true work wife matrimony.
And from the bottom of my heart (yes, it's there I promise), thank you. Thank you for reaching out, making her feel so loved and whatever else you did that made her cry crocodile tears of gratitude in my car everyday.
