Let's Help our "GOOD BUDDY" Bob

This fundraiser is an idea we came up with at work to help out a fellow coworker, good friend, and extension of our family in his last days. A couple weeks ago he pulled some of his closest coworkers to the side to have a heart to heart with us. He told us that he had been diagnosed with stage four cancer and was given a couple months to live. For those who have known Bob for as many years as we have , we knew how hard it was to tell us and how hard it was for him to accept this horrible news. Although he said he isn’t scared to die we all know that leaving behind your loved ones is definitely not something your prepared to do at any time in your life. Since receiving this news Bob has continued to be the same oh' Bob we know and love . He shows up to work every day and works harder than one would imagine with this illness, I would say he works harder than some of these young guys out here LOL!, but that’s Bob our "GOOD BUDDY". Sadly we have seen some decline in his health lately. We question why not just quit , why continue to work when you have so little time to enjoy so many things we could imagine we would do in our last days, why is the question. Well with so many bills and many more to come he feels he needs to continue to be the man he has always been, a provider to his family. He tells us he can’t leave them with the burden of paying all the bills. For that reason we thought it would be appropriate to start this fundraising. We want our friend and family member to wake every day and not worry about work, we want him to enjoy his last days with his loved ones.

The money raised will help with hospital bills, funeral cost when they present themselves and well I hope this money can give something we all would want before we leave this place, PEACE OF MIND knowing your family is taken care of. I would also love to say that this money may help his wife and him enjoy a small get away to enjoy each other company one last time. As hard as it is to say we will miss him dearly at work, but we have to let him go and hope his last moments in this life are filled with the joy he has brough us here at work with his jokes and grumpy old way which we have grown to love. =)
