Let’s help our girl Renee

Two years ago, after a frightening incident, Renee received an unexpected medical diagnosis. Since then, it has been a whirlwind of ups and downs as she figures out a new normal.

 

However, back in August while celebrating her incredibly special cousin’s bachelorette, she unfortunately and unexpectedly suffered another episode. While it easily could have ended with just cuts and bumps and bruises... this one unfortunately took a traumatic turn. Due to landing face-first on a concrete floor, she lost two (almost 4) teeth, fractured the left side of her face, and lost a significant amount of bone in her gums, among various other facial traumas. While her visit to the hospital where she was seen by a plastic surgeon as well as the emergency dental surgeon was covered, we quickly discovered that her road to getting her beautiful smile back would be both a long and expensive one. With the gum and bone grafting, orthodontics, prosthodontics, and more, Ren is looking at a nearly $30,000 journey. From our understanding, while about $2000 could potentially be covered by insurance, none of it is covered by AHS. This means that due to her accident, not only is she being left with the mental and physical cost on her body, but a significant financial cost as well. Renee is by far one of the kindest and most hard-working individuals anyone will ever know, and she deserves to be able to keep her hard-earned savings in her bank for the things she's been working towards for years. A young Renee had already spent years and much of her own money on making her smile pretty well perfect, so this has been a loss in that all of that money and time has been lost too. We made this page to see if we can help her out a little, so she can put her focus on her physical and mental well-being. We do not want this unforeseen accident to be the reason she cannot afford to do or pay for the things she's been working so hard towards for years.
