Dear Family and Friends of Natsuno "Naatsy" Kobatake,

This fundraiser is being set up to help Naatsy with costs of medical and living expenses. Recently, Naatsy had heart surgery to repair his heart. He almost didn't make it, had it not been for the team and the amazing doctor at Mt. Sinai who performed the surgery. He was told by his doctor he must rest and rehabilitate, which means he will not be able to work for a while. His wife and kids recently moved back to Japan to take care of their elderly parents, so presently, he will not have the help to assist him with his recent challenges.

About "Naatsy"

Naatsy was born in Japan and had an early start to his career and passion for dance. He moved to NY in 1982 to continue to pursue his career and for almost 36 years strong has participated, supported and contributed in the evolution of Hip Hop Culture. Some of his highlights include dancing in opening act for Robin Dunn's Hip Hop Technicians amateur night at the Apollo NY, cast member for Ghettoriginal Dance Company in "Jam on the Groove" 1st ever off Broadway Hip Hop Musical, cast member for "Splash" the musical in Las Vegas, NV, cast member for "Break the Urban Funk Spectacular" and dancer in Wyclef Jean music video "Staying Alive". Naatsy has also helped with collaboration of international exchange with our shows and dance communities as well as collaborating on projects like Dance Delight a Japanese Hip Hop magazine.

Natsuno "Naatsy" Kobataki is an amazing father, husband, brother and amazing friend. Please let us come together to support him through these tough times so he can continue to share and spread his love for his family, dance and this culture for years to come.
