Help with Steve's life-threatening surgery costs

Hello Friends and Community,

 

Our dear friend Steve Emmerman recently faced a severe health challenge, battling a bacterial infection that attacked his heart. He underwent open-heart surgery, stayed in the hospital for 12 days, and was on an intensive 24/7 course of IV antibiotics for 6 weeks following the surgery.

Steve also just found out last week that he may need to undergo a second surgery to remove a cement-like mucus block that has settled on the outside of his right lung following the surgery. He is scheduled for a CT scan on January 23rd at which time the doctors will determine how to proceed. Please help us shape this outcome by sending out your prayers for Steve to not require another surgery.

 

Steve is the primary provider for his family of four, which includes two young children. He is also the owner and sole proprietor of an online resale business. He has no employees and executes all aspects of the business, including inventory acquisition, sales, shipping, accounting etc.

 

Steve has been unable to work at full capacity since the infection began on November 17.

 

This family is a pillar in the Paonia community where their dedication extends beyond family and work. Talya actively contributes to the community by volunteering on farms, teaching yoga classes, collaborating with managing nonprofits like Kids’ Pasta Project, and is a dedicated member of Viva La Vida, the Paonia Anthroposophical chapter. They are both devoted parents who volunteer in 2 local schools. 

 

Both Steve and Talya have dedicated their lives to serving and helping others, standing at the head of a spiritual community for over 20 years, which they themselves built. A community which spans the globe from Chicago all the way to Israel.  They have helped transform countless lives through their proprietary yoga style and healing workshops and retreats.

 

Now, they need our support.
