Help Mike Tripp Recover After Major Spine Surgery
In 2024, Mike was diagnosed with Cervical Neuropathy, a serious condition that caused weakness in his arms and legs, eventually making it impossible for him to walk without a cane.
Before his symptoms began, Mike was at work one day when he started experiencing pain in his left arm. Thinking it was just tennis elbow, he visited a doctor—only to learn it was something much more serious.
After attending a concert in the U.S. with his sister, Mike woke up the next day unable to walk. He had to be driven home and immediately underwent a battery of tests, including CT scans, MRIs, and blood work. After being admitted to hospital for 14 days doctors confirmed the diagnosis: Cervical Neuropathy.
By the fall of 2024, Mike’s condition had deteriorated to the point where he could no longer work. Further testing revealed that urgent surgery was his only option.
On May 13, 2025, Mike underwent a complex spinal operation—Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF)—to stabilize his cervical spine from C5 to C7 using a titanium plate and six screws.
Mike is now focused on recovery, but the road ahead is long and demanding. He’ll require extensive rehabilitation to regain the mobility and strength he has lost. He will also still need further testing and care during his recovery. While he receives long-term disability benefits, they don’t cover the full cost of living expenses —especially with a family to support. Mike’s wife works part-time but has had to reduce her hours to care for both Mike and their young son.
Mikes Parents are both retired and although they and other family members have helped financially. unfortunately family support is limited.
That’s why we’re asking for your help. Any amount you can give will truly make a difference, easing the financial burden so Mike can focus fully on healing. And if you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with others.
Thank you for your kindness and support—it means the world to Mike and his family.
