Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

My name is Grace and I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a deep need for your help on behalf of my dear friend Junie. For the second time, cancer has entered Junie's life, disrupting her plans and challenging her health in ways she never imagined. After months of uncertainty and medical tests, she received devastating news following a recent PET scan: her cancer has returned in the form of two large, aggressive tumours beside her left kidney, requiring immediate radiation and chemotherapy in Victoria.

Many of you have been a part of her journey for years, whether as friends, clients, or collaborators in writing. Your unwavering support has enriched her life beyond measure. Now, facing this new battle, we humbly ask for your assistance.

Due to her illness, she has been unable to work since January and had to cancel upcoming writing retreats and other commitments. She secured employment with a senior's home in Nanaimo to facilitate memoir writing and was enjoying it very much. Unfortunately, this must now be forfeited while she undergoes treatment away from home.

To cover living expenses and medical costs during this challenging time, we are launching this GoFundMe campaign.
