Raymond Dean "Deano" Thompson is a beloved fixture of Sacramento's skateboarding and punk rock communities. Over the past few decades, you're likely to find him skating with the legendary N-Men crew and letting off steam at shows, all with big hugs and love for his community. You know that whenever Deano shows up to a session or gig, you will always have a better time. He's also deeply devoted to his kids, Sadie and Trevor, and is just a stand-up guy all around. I'm proud to call him a friend for more than 30 years.

However, Deano really needs support from the community he loves so much. Deano broke his femur during a recent skate session, where friends rallied to get him to the hospital. He underwent surgery and will be sidelined for many weeks.

The timing couldn't have been worse. Deano had just started a new job that day and doesn't yet have health insurance. It's been a rough few months overall for him, and this latest setback is really hurting him physically and financially.

So, I've started this GoFundMe to support a guy who's been such a good friend and energizing force for so many of us. All funds will go directly to Deano to help cover his rent, medical bills and other expenses while he literally gets back on his feet.
