Lets help our beloved Susan Flood with her illness

To all of our amazing friends, family and anyone else this may reach.
We are fundraising to help our wonderful Susan Flood with some financial support as she battles her stage 3 aggressive melanoma cancer during this extremely hard and overwhelming time.
At just 58, Susan had an itchy mole and upon further investigation, she was diagnosed with aggressive stage 3 melanoma cancer which had spread to her lymph nodes. Tragically, it has also been discovered that she has a rare mutant cancer gene called BRAF which accelerates the growth of her cancer cells. She lives in Forbes which is five hours away from family and close friends and had just settled in and was enjoying the tranquillity of her new quiet life when her world was turned upside down with this terrible, terminal diagnosis.
After surgery in Sydney, Susan embarked on immunotherapy for 13 months, travelling to Dubbo once a month and back to Sydney every 3 months for routine ultrasounds, MRI, PET & CT scans. After completing 13 months of treatment she came to Sydney for routine tests only to be given the terrible results that 6 metastatic tumours had spread to the fatty tissue and 28 nodules had to be removed from her left armpit. Susan’s oncologist has advised the only treatment option available is to target the BRAF gene but the side effects are very nasty and it is only available on PBS if you are at stage 4. So, our darling Susan has decided not to get treatment when she gets to stage 4 as she wants a reasonable quality of life for the time she has left.
To make matters worse, just when Susan had things in place to manage her remaining time,, she has recently lost her job which has added enormous stress to her financial situation and outlook generally. This could not have come at a worse time.
Susie needs our help!
Any small amount that her friends and community can contribute to support Susan through this most difficult time will be invaluable to help her cope as well as she can with the the awful road ahead..
The financial burden is a huge challenge and your donations will help with rental payments, transport costs to and from hospital, food, medications, psychology appointments and day-to-day living costs.
We understand that times are tough for everyone at the moment, but even the smallest amount would be so greatly appreciated.
