Helping Nicole Heal!

Back in June, Nicole went in for some medical tests and was admitted to the hospital immediately.  She soon learned she had suffered an aneurysm and a heart attack at some point -- and was experiencing heart failure. Additionally, her heart showed clotting which meant at any given point she could suffer another heart attack or aneurysm. Nicole had one procedure and was monitored in the hospital for nine days. She has since been admitted to the hospital a couple of more times in the past few weeks for complications, blood transfusions and another surgery. She is on a whole new medication regimen and on the road to recovery but whether she likes it or not, she has got to slow down!

If you know Nicole, you know that she is one of the most hard working people out there. Slowing down is going to be hard for her. While maintaining a full time job as Marketing Manager at Ex Fabula, she is also a full-time artist and photographer. She created the amazing Hoops project and has traveled taking photos to empower folks in their hoop earrings in Milwaukee, Chicago and New York. She is a founding member of the artist collectives Heard Space, No Stress Collective and LUNA. She does all of this while being an incredible mom and friend. Donating anything you can will help her pay her medical bills while also allowing her to take a break! We know she'll be tempted to take on more work to pay those bills down herself. 

Nicole is fiercely independent, generous and loyal. She does so much for her community and we think it's long overdue to return the favor for her during this challenging time.
