Update:
04/15/23
Hey everyone. We want to say thank you so much to all of you who have been there throughout this challenging time. Thank you to each one of you who has kept in touch, sent prayers, kept Nat in your thoughts, sent food/gifts and who have also supported her financially.
Nat has been so strong throughout her cancer journey and has only been given weeks left to spend here on earth. She is currently at Grey Nuns hospital in Edmonton for pain and symptom management.
Nat had to stop taking her anti-cancer medication last fall because it was causing complications. This led to many surgeries, more radiation and even more pain. Her tumours have continued to grow and she has lost mobility in her mid and lower body. Her Mom and Jordan care for her every day.
If you know Nat, you would know that she is the most generous soul, who has never asked for help in the past and has always given with her whole heart. You would know that if you tell her you like something of hers, she will say- “do you want it?” She has always been a worker bee and has taken care of everyone else. It’s our time to continue to help her. She has requested that I ask all of you for additional financial support. This will help off-set personal bills, non-hospital food (as her Mom has been cooking up a storm) and some expenses (such as parking/gas) to take the strain off of her family. Every little bit helps.
Nat was featured in the St.Albert Gazette, on page 26.

Thank you again and please continue to keep her in your thoughts. She is a warrior and we love her so much.

Hey all.
As most of you know, I have been blessed with the best sister-in-law in the world. Thank you Jord. Her name is Nat (Nattiya) and if you know her- well, you know that she is one of the most generous, kind, compassionate, caring people on this planet. My family and I absolutely adore her and she is so important to us. So here I am, sharing her story in hopes that you can help.
In April of 2020, Nat was having a hard time breathing. Her doctor immediately thought she had asthma, so he gave her an inhaler. Unfortunately that didn’t do the trick. Her symptoms continued and she was sent to the hospital to have some tests done. They found a large tumor on her liver. Due to her age and health, they were convinced that it was benign. In July of 2020, a surgeon removed the tumor, only to realize that it was actually cancerous (hepatocellular carcinoma). After a slow recovery, she returned to work as a Nurse thinking that everything was okay. The doctors were confident that all of the cancer was gone, however in March of 2021, it came back.
Nat has been taking anti-cancer medication daily ever since and just completed five radiation sessions back-to-back to target a small tumor on her lower spine. Her naturopath would like to start her on Vitamin C injections as well as Mistletoe therapy, which is an alternative treatment to compliment the traditional medications that she is currently taking. Nat has not been able to work for approximately a year and these treatments incur large costs. Jordan has been an incredible partner and has been working very hard to provide her with financial and emotional support.
I’m reaching out to all of you, in hopes that you can provide support. Whether it’s in the form of a monetary donation to help with the cost of alternative medicine, praying for her health or sending her positive messages. She needs all of the love and support. Your donation would help with ongoing mistletoe therapy, vitamin c therapy, nutritional supplements and the cost to continue to see her naturopath.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Nat has been such a warrior through all of this. She is so incredibly resilient. We still don’t understand how a healthy 28 year old gets liver cancer. But we love her immensely and we are doing all that we can to help her. <3
Love to you all,
The Burton Family <3
