They were each other’s rocking chair buddies, married for 55 years. Let’s help Mom lay Dad to rest with love.

My father, Frank, passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and generosity.

He and our mother were married for 55 wonderful years, and they lovingly called each other their “rocking chair buddies”—a reflection of their lifelong devotion and companionship.

In his final years, our father bravely faced Lewy Body Dementia. Through every hardship, our mother cared for him with unwavering devotion—even while courageously battling and surviving cancer herself. Their love and strength have been an inspiration to everyone blessed to know them.

My parents have always been the kindest, most selfless people—willing to give the shirts off their backs to help anyone in need, never asking for anything in return.

Now, after holding a beautiful service to celebrate his life, we are still faced with the remaining burial fees.

Though I live far away in another country and cannot physically be by my mother’s side, my heart is with her every moment. There doesn’t go a day that I don’t speak with her on the phone, but it breaks me not to hold her hand or sit beside her. I am doing everything I can from afar to ease her burden and honor my father’s memory.

I am reaching out to ask for help to lighten this financial weight on my mother and ensure my father receives the dignified resting place he deserves.
