Hi, my name is Ashley. My mom Terri (Mike’s sister) and I are starting this go fund me to help raise money to help my Uncle Mike’s family lay him to rest and pay medical bills associated with his hospital stays prior to his sudden and unexpected passing. Mike slipped away into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, September 25th around 8pm after a great fight. Following weeks of battling COVID and recovering, the damage done just made it impossible for him to recover from a secondary infection that took hold. It settled into his lungs, caused heart issues, and eventually led to organ failure. His body just didn’t have the strength that we know his heart did. Thousands were all praying that the outcome would be different, and are now feeling a deep deep loss. We don’t understand why - and may never understand until we can ask God ourselves someday… but now it is time for us to rally together and help his beloved family in any way we can.Uncle Mike leaves behind his beautiful wife Peg, his daughters Lindsey and Brittanee, and his son Nathan.

Those who knew Mike, know three things:

1. He loved Jesus!!! With everything he had in him.

2. That his family was his everything, this side of Heaven.

3. He would give absolutely anyone the shirt off his back or the last $5 in his bank account- not just because he was a pastor and that’s what he “should” do… but because my Uncle Mike embodied the true love of Christ. He loved fiercely and his hugs proved it! Nobody could hug like my uncle Mike!!!

His love for Jesus led him thru his life and led him to his best friend and wife. His love for the Lord called him to the ministry and encouraged him to use his gift of music (along with his whole family) to share the Gospel to anyone and everyone he could talk to. He was his kids’ best friend and cheerleader. And I know, if he were here right now, his biggest concern would be the burden of finances to not only lay him to rest, but to take care of those medical bills and other accrued expenses from him being hospitalized as long as he was.

So, let’s be like my Uncle Mike… let’s try to help in any way we can. Let’s return the amazing love that he had for everyone and bless this family beyond measure so they don’t need to worry about money and bills. Let’s take that weight off their shoulders while they are mourning the loss of the most important person in the world to them! And please, most importantly cover his sweet family in prayer as they have to learn how to continue on without him.
