Hi, my name is Kjersten and I am asking for your support to help send my daughter Mihaela to Karate one competitions in Europe, representing the USA. Mihaela is twelve years old and has been training Karate since she was three years old. Mihaela trains four hours a day, six days a week. Karate one youth league competitions are the premier league for the youth. There are five competitions every year, one continental competition each year and one World competition every two years. All of these competitions establish the world ranking for the athlete in the sport. Mihaela recently won the gold medal in Merida, Mexico K1 competition. Mihaela’s goal is to win the World Championship and hopefully compete in the Olympics if karate is allowed back into the Olympics as it was in 2020. Mihaela spent three weeks in Europe over the summer winning gold in the Austrian Open, seventh place in Croatia K1 and fifth place in Coruna, Spain. All of these competitions had at least thirty countries competing. She will be traveling to Venice, Italy in December 2023, Fujairah UAE in March 2024 and back to Coruna, Spain in April 2024.
