Hi, my name is Claudia Martinez. My brothers and I have created this fundraiser to help my mom with her cancer treatments. Her fight started in February 2022 when her doctor diagnosed her with cancer in the endometrium with metastasis in a couple of lymph nodes. She decided to remove her endometrium and start a round of chemos and radiotherapy just like her doctor suggested. After getting her results back from this treatment we all thought that my mom made it and the cancer was controlled. Unfortunately, at the beginning of this year, the doctors discovered that her liver was compromised with cancer. My mom decided to do it all over again and start another round of chemo, with a different medicine, just like the doctors recommended. Sadly this round of chemo weakened my mom's health and made her cancer more active. She has developed metastasis in more lymph nodes, the liver and some bones. For the past months, we have looked for many other different opinions, visited several doctors, and run tons of different tests and biopsies on my mom. We are doing what we can to give her the best quality of life possible. My mom has started a new treatment based on inmune and targeted therapy. This treatment has been approved by the FDA in USA for her type of cancer, but not yet in Peru where she is living. For this reason, the insurance company does not want to cover this treatment. Each session is every 25 days and costs about $22,000. We are calling all our friends and family to give us a hand this time collaborating with us.
