Let's Help Mayerling to Fight Her Cancer battle

Hi, my name is Lili Nino, and this fundraiser is for Mayerling Orrantia Garcia "Mayer."

Mayer is a dear friend from my small hometown, Victoria City, Tamaulipas, northeast Mexico. She is an amazing single mom of three great teeangers, a fantastic friend, and a great co-worker who is always happy to support and help whomever needs her.

Mayer is fighting Breast Cancer for a second time and potentially for another aggressive cancer recently found on her collarbone. Mayerling is a 50 years old single mom, and I will share her life story so that you understand why I am opening this fundraiser for her.

Mayer's husband disappeared in 2012; he was kidnapped, only the vehicle he was driving appeared, and she never saw him again. So she was left devastated and with three children, Patrick, Andrick and Danerick, to raise alone. Her kids strengthen her and inject her with energy and desire to live and move forward in life.

She is their sole provider; she has been in charge of their education, health, food and care since she became a single mom and a widow. Mayer has been an administrative employee for an Education Institution for more than 20 years.

Back in April 2021, she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer Stage III-A; She spent a whole year in treatment (radical unilateral mastectomy, 16 chemotherapies and 25 radiations; it was a long, devastating and painful process, but thanks to the support of her friends, family, doctors and God SHE BEAT IT; Mayer fought so hard, for her and her kids. 

Unfortunately, on June 4, 2022, she felt another lump in her collarbone, so she went to the doctor; they performed a biopsy and came out positive for adenocarcinoma, for very aggressive type cancer; In addition, they found two other nodules in her right breast, and doctors urgently ask for MRI & CT SCAN, to find out if it has not created any metastasis.

This type of study is costly in Mexico, especially since the social medical system is very innefficient and to get good clinic appointment could take up to 6 or 8 months. Mayer does not have private medical insurance.

Mayer is going to embark in a hard and costly medical journey to fight  this beast -one more time-, she will need to cover several medical studies, labs, chemos and radiations, in addition to cost for medicine, but she does not have to do it alone. Let's give Mayer a sense of community, love and support that does understand of borders or country lines.

Mayer's heart is stregthened by her Faith, by the love for her boys, she knows she has to fight for them , one more time, and that God is fighting besides her.
