As many of you know and for those who don’t, we were given some devastating news on July 3, 2021, Lynn was diagnosed with undifferentiated small cell lung cancer. The cancer has metastasized quickly into her bones (spine, ribs, iliac crest), lymph nodes and liver. Shortly after the diagnosis we had a major scare and almost lost her from hyperglycemia which put her in the hospital for days. The plan is to treat and treat aggressively. Initially it was believed that the treatment would give her a couple more months to spend with her family, however the treatment has been so effective that the cancer cells in her lungs and bones are disappearing and the doctors believe this is something she can BEAT!

CHEMO, IMMUNOTHERAPY, routine labs, PET scans, CT scans, hospital stays, blood IV infusions, doctors visits, and multiple medications. The doctors have determined that to beat this thing we need to move forward with more rounds of chemotherapy. The bills are starting to come in and the costs are astronomical with unforeseen costs ahead.

Father, the Almighty, have mercy on your afflicted children. Bless them with your healing as they give it their best to survive cancer. They have suffered enough and yet, they remain optimistic of the future; their faith resolute. We, therefore, humbly ask for your protection and power of healing, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
