Hi everyone!

 

As some of you may know, our favorite good girl Luna developed a large, tennis ball size bump on her head in early June. After Savannah took Luna in for her initial cytology report, the results came back showing it was bone cancer. 

 

Savannah rushed Luna to Utah where she could quickly see a specialist. Currently the vet specialist  is suggesting it is either Osteosarcoma or Multilobular, with more signs pointing towards the latter. The good news is 1.5-3 years after surgery for MLO, she would live a healthy and normal life!

MLO is extremely rare in and there is not a ton of research done on it yet. The course of treatment is they will cut part of her skull and cover it with a metal plate.  The surgery alone is looking to be about $25k.
