Hello, my name is Yvette Diaz and I’m fundraising for my sister Elisabeth “Liz” Diaz. On August 23rd Liz was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. This was a complete shock to us and she has had a roller coaster of emotions dealing with the diagnosis, doctor visits, scans, & lab work. She also has an upcoming surgery on September 14th with radiation treatment to follow. We’re praying she doesn’t need chemo, but won’t know until after her surgery. She is trying to stay positive, but with the diagnosis, and all of the medical expenses not covered by her insurance, it has been stressful for her. Many of her friends have asked how they can help, so we’ve decided to set up this “GO FUND ME” account for those wanting to help Liz with her medical expenses. She is a dedicated teacher, mentor, daughter, sister, aunt, & friend who is always giving to others. Let’s help out this 2023 “teacher of the year,” so she can focus on beating cancer and continue doing the job she loves so much…teaching art!
