Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem

Meet Isa a living miracle who doctors said would not survive long after birth. After a healthy pregnancy disaster struck during childbirth and Isa was on the verge of dying after prolonged oxygen deprivation throughout a complicated labor and delivery. He was airlifted from his rural hospital to a neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

[Isa at birth on life support]
Due to the hypoxic brain injuries during his complicated birth, Isa’s medical team did not expect him to live. The doctors said that even if he did survive he would have no use of any limbs, be blind and non-verbal.
Miraculously, he survived but is yet unable to stand and requires extensive care at home as well as access to critical medical support.

As he has grown, he is increasingly difficult for his parents to transport as he still needs help just to transfer from his bed to his wheelchair. Isa is on a long journey to recovery and is slowly gaining strength and use of his limbs but even now he still needs three physical therapists to balance and support him during his standing exercises.
Isa is wheelchair bound and is in urgent need of a wheelchair accessible transport from his rural home to receive specialist medical care in the city.

Let everyone give thanks that they were not tested with such difficulties. We pray for patience and support for Isa’s family and hope that in our time of need there are people to support us.
The well known hadith “Sadaqa repels affliction and increases life” reminds us to help others as a means to also help ourselves to be saved from hardship. May Allah relieve our hardships by whatever charitable contribution we can make to dear Isa.
