Let’s help baby Edward!!

Good morning, I had the pleasure of meeting Edward Raphael right before his 1st birthday. He was born in Colombia with Macrocrania/Macrocephaly which accompanied an onset of Gorlin syndrome. They also diagnosed him with a chromosomal 9q22.3 microdeletion...which has affected his rapid height, weight, and head growth disproportionate to his age.

At 12 months, he had the physical growth of a 3-4 year old and this has caused delays in walking, talking and overall development. At the age of 2, he is physically bigger than most 6 year olds and unfortunately Colombian doctors have not been able to set up a medical plan that can help him.

Edward’s parents Jorge and Diana have started their own food catering business from home to supplement the income from their regular jobs. This allows them to be home with Edward during the afternoons and weekends. The initial donations will go straight to physical, cognitive and speech therapy. The goal is to raise enough money to have the family seek advanced medical help in Canada, USA, or Europe with doctors that are more advanced and familiar with his syndromes.
