Let’s help Lisa kick this cancer to the curb!

Hi Everyone,

I am initiating this Go Fund Me page on behalf of Lisa Moogan. It’s not something I ever thought I would have to do for my
best friend, but life can be so cruel and unpredictable.

In August 2019 Lisa was diagnosed with stage 2B cervical cancer and underwent chemo, radiation, and brachytherapy in Australia. Treatments for cancer are extremely taxing on the body but throughout all of her treatment, Lisa has remained positive and resilient. The whole way through she showed incredible strength so her six-year-old daughter Mila would not have to worry about her mommy being sick. At the end of her treatment, it seemed successful and just as Lisa was getting back to normal life with Mila, she found out cancer has returned.

It has taken Lisa 4 months of inconclusive results and surgery to remove her lymph nodes to find out she has a 3.2 cm tumor growing in her pelvic area. Lisa is waiting to undergo treatment in Los Angeles as more treatment options are available there and to be close to her family and friends who can help with her six-year-old daughter as she is a single mother.

As we all know, insurance and treatments can be incredibly expensive and are an added stress for cancer patients who are fighting for their lives. This is especially true for single mothers like Lisa who are unable to work during their intense treatments and are undergoing treatment for the second time around.

Lisa would put her hand up to help anyone, so I have set the target at $30,000 to support her during this hard time. The funds will go towards the Dr. visits, any unforeseen treatment bills, alternative treatments, and for Lisa and Mila to live while she is unable to work.
