Let's Help Lis with Medical Expenses!

Hi Everyone,

This is Heather and I am starting this page for Lis and my brother Chris & their family. As many of you know, Lis was given some devastating news recently. She is an amazing hair stylist, a fantastic mom (and bonus mom), a fiance to Chris, and a great friend to many. Lis started having vision and sinus issues several months ago. She had been seeing a doctor and had sinus surgery several months ago. Lis became sick rather quickly and had been at the ER a couple of times in two weeks. On the third ER visit, they decided to do a cat scan, and lesions were found on her brain. She was taken by ambulance to a hospital in the Twin Cities. After a crazy week of tests, MRIs, and a brain biopsy, they know she has a brain tumor. The diagnosis of Primary Central Nervous System Lymphoma was given. Lis has begun chemotherapy. We know that she will need seven rounds 14 days apart.

Lis needs to be as healthy as possible & must stay away from germs. She will not be able to continue working over the next several months. Lis is self-employed as a hairdresser. Chris will continue to work but must take some unpaid time off when Lis needs him for appointments & care. The bills & day-to-day expenses will continue and be challenging. Lis will have many trips back and forth and costs that insurance will not cover on top of a large deductible. Many of you are asking how you can help, so we have set up this GoFundme page. All donations will go towards Lis' medical treatment, her insurance deductible, and the expenses that come with being unable to work. It will also help lift some of the financial burdens of being out of work.
