Let’s help Lenor, Roger and Charles they need us…
Roger, Lenor and Charles have been through so many challenges - individually as well as collectively … but this may be their biggest yet - Roger has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that has metastasized to his spine and brain. He went into the ER with symptoms of a stroke (numbness in his left arm)about 3 weeks ago. When they did a scan they discovered many spots on his brain and immediately transported him by ambulance to MUSC in Charleston. He spent 3 nights there and had a 1.5 hour MRI where they discovered spots in lungs and spots on his spine. He had a biopsy done on his lung tumor which is how they found out it is a non-small cell cancer called adenocarcinoma. He started whole brain radiation this week - and will have a total of 10 treatments as well he’ll have 5 treatments on his spine. And then they’ll be traveling back to Charleston (about 2 hours away) next week for a PET scan. They will also meet with a hematologist oncologist to go over things from the PET scan and bio markers from the biopsy. Hoping to find out what would be next.
This is tough! Roger does hard labor - painting and floors - and with all of this he is unable to work and he won’t be able to help Lenor financially any longer. This seems to only be the beginning and the MUSC bill is already at 22,000.00!
Lets help them … in whatever way we can - financially (by donating), emotionally (send an email, text, Facebook message) or faithfully and spiritually (say prayers, send positive vibes) or all of the above!
