Let's Help Kind Space

My wife Zoë and I are raising money for Kind Space. Can you help?

 

I’ll get right to the point: Kind Space needs our help to keep all their vital services operational. Let me tell you about the important work they do for the LGBTQ+ community.

 

Kind is truly a one-of-a-kind service in the Ottawa region. Its mission statement is simple: “Kind Space is committed to providing Ottawa – located on unceded Algonquin territory, accessible resources, events, social, and educational programming to celebrate and support people of all sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions.”

 

They do this in many ways, including (but not limited to):

 

 

Kind Space's digital outreach is impressive, providing support for LGBTQ+ people, whether in-person or online. In this way, they not only help the local community, but beyond it, too.

 

Right now, Kind Space does not have the resources to provide all these services without aid from the community. Sometimes, Kind is the only place where a person feels safe and supported. Sometimes, one of their groups or gatherings is the first place a person can explore who they are. Sometimes this is where they get resources or make friends in the community, which improves and even saves lives. We need to keep the doors open.

 

This is where we come in. There are many ways to help. You can become a monthly donor, or you can make a one-time donation. You can also donate plants, furniture, and other items directly to the space. For more information, vist their site at https://kindspace.ca/

 

With this GoFundMe, my wife Zoe and I will be matching donations up to $1,000. Anything raised above and beyond this will also, of course, will go to the Kind Space. I've set this up where all donations made here go directly to the organization.
