Let’s Help Kerrie Kick Cancer to the Curb!

This call for help is for our loved one, Kerrie Bigham. You may know Kerrie from her long-time work at the Yakima Symphony Orchestra or her teaching career or her church community, or as her friend and neighbor. You may not know that Kerrie received a devastating cancer diagnosis in June and is currently undergoing treatment. Kerrie’s journey through this cancer treatment is a testament to her resilience, but it's clear that this fight comes with significant challenges. As she navigates the overwhelming landscape of treatment and all its surprise complications, this request is essential.

As much as she hates to ask, Kerrie needs our financial support as much as she's needed (and continues to need) our spiritual, emotional, and friendship supports.

Kerrie has always embodied independence and resilience. Growing up as a pastor's daughter instilled in her a deep understanding of what truly matters, distinguishing between needs and wants. As a single, self-reliant individual, she has always managed on her own, valuing hard work and saving over material possessions. Cancer, however, takes away independence. Everyday tasks—working, driving, grocery shopping, and cooking—have become overwhelming hurdles.

Any monetary assistance given to help with rent, living expenses, and medical treatments will make a meaningful difference in her journey.
