Help Kelly Access Life-Saving Cancer Treatment
Donation protected
We’re raising funds for someone who means the world to us: our dear friend Kelly.
Kelly was diagnosed with an aggressive form of HER2+ breast cancer in 2018. For the last five years, she responded well to ongoing treatment—so well, in fact, that she continued working, adopted her beloved rescue dog, Mila, renovated and lived in a van to embrace life on the road, and filled her days with laughter, travel, and purpose. She lived with joy and intention, even in the face of a difficult diagnosis.
But in June 2024, everything changed. Her body stopped responding to the treatment, and the cancer returned. Kelly’s doctors recommended a new treatment, Enhertu, which offers new hope to help manage the cancer and extend her time.
The heartbreaking catch? This treatment isn’t covered by Canadian healthcare. At up to $5,000 per month (dosage amount dependent), it’s an overwhelming financial burden on top of the physical and emotional toll Kelly is already carrying.
So here we are—doing what we can when there’s so much we can’t control. We’ve created this fundraiser to help Kelly access the care she needs to stay alive. We want to lift this part of the burden so she can focus on what truly matters: healing, hope, and the future she deserves.
Kelly is one of the most radiant, courageous, and generous souls we know. If you’ve met her, you know she’s a true light. She’s the one who shows up for others. She’s thoughtful, funny, quietly fierce, and endlessly kind. And now, it’s our turn to show up for her.
If you hate cancer as much as we do—if you want to help a brilliant, brave 43-year-old woman keep fighting for her life—please receive this as a call to arms. Your donation is more than money. It’s hope. It’s solidarity. It’s a reminder that none of us is alone.
No amount is too small. Whether you give $5 or $500, you’re helping Kelly access the treatment that will give her more time and a fighting chance as advancements in cancer care continue to evolve. If you’re not in a place to give, please consider sharing this page and sending Kelly your love.

With all our gratitude,

Should funds remain at the end of Kelly’s journey, she has requested that they be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society for continued research in hopes that one day, no one else will have to go through what she’s facing now.
