LET'S HELP KAY BROWN GET BACK ON HER FEET!
Donation protected
Kay Brown, my dear friend and resident Artist and Printmaker at SPARC, Venice CA, can use your help. A lifelong activist, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Kay is the type of friend and human that is always there when you need her.
Born September 26, 1935, Kay is about to celebrate her 87th birthday (next week). Six weeks ago, on an ordinary trip to take out the trash, Kay ended up at the ER when she and her neighbor had to outrun a large falling tree branch. Luckily the falling tree missed Kay and her neighbor, but Kay took a nasty fall on the hard pavement. Three fractures in her right arm and all kinds of bumps and bruises. She then started having a terrible cough. The cough wouldn't stop; several weeks later, Kay was diagnosed with lung cancer. Two weeks after that, her beloved 1970 Volvo, also known as the "Artmobile" was stolen from her home. When it rains, it pours. Medical expenses are piling up. Let's make Kay's 87th birthday a special one. Your generous support will be so very appreciated. Thank you!
