Help Mom Kathie lay her son to rest in NB

Hi, My name is Ivy Henriksen and I am a friend of Kathy Howe Allen. Kathie and I have been friends for over 12 years and we met at our local legion in Sutton, Ontario. She is a kind, gentle and loving, salt of the earth kind of gal and would do anything for anyone! Its the East Coast in her <3

Since moving to Barrie she has lost so much. In the last 5 years she has experienced a significant tragic loss. Kathie lost her hubby and soul mate Terry to cancer and was a caregiver for him right to the end in 2018. Prior to losing her hubby, she had lost her sister Janice. Within months of Terry's death, she also lost her sister in law Pat. She was also a caregiver for her Dad Fred and her brother Mark who have died the past few years. She never gave up and was a kind and compassionate caregiver for all of them. So much loss and grief for one person, I don’t know how she has managed but she always has. And now in November 2023, her only son Chad has died. Chad struggled with mental health and addiction. A mother should never have to say goodbye to their child the way she has. One family should never have to go through so much loss in such a short time.

Chad's recent unexpected death has gutted Kathie and she is raising his two youngest children, ages 15 and 16. She is on a fixed income and would like to take ALL of her loved ones urns including Chads to New Brunswick where it will be the final resting place for her family and eventually Kathie's too. Without her son sharing rent and expenses she will also have to move on top of everything else. Her best chance of starting over is to go to the East Coast.

This fundraiser is for her to help with the costs of her ONLY child's funeral costs, cremation, and transportation to New Brunswick to the family plot. I have chosen the amount of $3333.00 because it is a good number for prosperity and I’m hoping and praying that there is good karma that will come back to her for all the love she has shown others.

I really hope that we can exceed the goal and any remaining funds can help Kathie move into a safer area of housing for her and her two youngest grandchildren. Every penny counts as Chad was helping contribute to his Moms rent, groceries and overall cost of living. The house where they live is currently listed for sale and she is unsure where her and the kids will go. She will "figure it out" as she always has.
