Hi Folks!

Doesn't life just throw us some curveballs sometimes?

Our friend Kat is juggling a bureaucratic curve ball that is time sensitive and complicated by geography! And involves her little one.

As most of us know, Kat has been working and building her beautiful family in Spain and working on bringing them home to Canada for the future. Yay for love and babies and marriage and all of the blessings that brings.

Boo for the complications that international love brings!

Kat has been informed recently that to complete a family reunification process that will allow her marriage and life in Spain to be legit, she will have to return to Canada with her little one, and start the process from here.

This has been a bit of a last-minute and unexpected hurdle. She has to plan and travel in haste as there is a limited window to return home.

Of course, as this was unexpected, there are now sudden tasks to take on. Travel for 2 back to Canada from Europe, housing on arrival, legal fees, trips to consolates once here, and all of the expenses that go along with that!

We know that when Kat has a plan she is amazing at saving for it and usually would have this all covered but it's hard to plan with no notice!

Let's help Kat keep her and her son safe and get them home and settled. I've made the amount of this fundraiser enough to cover the initial travel as a start - but any contributions will be greatly appreciated!

Remember that time she bought ya a beer? Or taught you the ins and outs of the rules of Roller Derby? Or provided a place to stay when you were in town? ( ok maybe that's just me cause she did all of those things and way way more for me ;) )

I am hoping that if we all pitch in we can make this trip a bit easier on them.

Even $700 to cover the Babes paperwork would be incredible.
