You may know her as Kathie Bivin, horse woman extraordinaire and bartender, always ready with a smile and a friendly ear. Or maybe you know her as Kat, the YouTuber who’s shared her ups and downs, teaching you how to build a bus, train your dog, and budget out your nomad life. To us, Krissy and Mary, she’s the amazingly positive big sis with the rose colored glasses, and the best friend who stands by through all kinds of adversity. Whatever name you know her by, if she’s ever helped you, inspired you, entertained you, or served you a really great margarita, now is your chance to pay it back. But even if you don't know her - she's great, trust us! And there's nothing like the kindness of strangers.

The Diagnosis

A year ago, Kat hit the road in her skoolie with RJ, her trusted Great Dane companion, and she has truly found her happy place, currently in the Arizona Foothills. But life has dealt a blow lately that’s knocked her back a few steps. Kat has been diagnosed with cervical cancer.

What's Ahead

No stranger to hard knocks and adversity, Kat always powers through, never failing to see the glass of life as half full. She’s doing the same thing now, accepting this challenge with incredible grace and good cheer. But she’s going to need our help. Kat faces several tough weeks of radiation and chemotherapy. It’s time for us to surround her and lift her up, the way she’s done for so many others.

How You Can Help

We are asking for donations to offset the cost of travel and lodging for her and RJ, plus out of pocket medical expenses and other unforeseen costs. This is just the beginning of Kat’s journey, and it’s a long road ahead.

Any amount you are comfortable giving will help ease her burden, taking some of the worry & stress off her shoulders so she can focus on healing!
