With a heavy heart, we share the sad news that John Peterson has passed away after a 25-month battle with intestinal cancer. John was a great friend to all that knew him and especially those in our Ram family. John relocated to the Carolinas in the summer of 2016 to pursue a career in professional drag racing. Shortly after arriving John began work part time with us as a CNC operator while looking after the clutch maintenance for several of the teams he was working alongside. John had a very successful run working with Trevor Eman, Johnny Pluchino, John Montecalvo, and several others from 2016 through 2021 while moving into a full-time position here with us. We were sad to see John leave at the end of 2021 when he landed his ‘dream job’ working full time with Titan Motorsports and NHRA Pro Stock newcomer Camrie Caruso who went on to win Rookie of the Year in NHRA that season. After KB racing merged with Titan at the end of 2023 John took a position at the newly formed KB-Titan Motorsports continuing to handle the maintenance on Camrie’s car and this season had split his time working with both Eric and Matt Latino. John always brought an infectious smile was one of the easiest people to work with in addition to being a positive influence on everyone around him. John is survived by his wife of 31 years Julie, his parents Jeff and Barbara, and brother Jeff. Please keep the Peterson family in your prayers during this difficult time. We love and miss you John!
As someone who lived with John and had the blessing to race with him and be around him, he has left his mark on everyone. Julie came with John when John moved to NC to race with us and she was just as lovable and kind as John. Let's rally around her during this time and show her how much John impacted all of our lives!
